As our employees and families are enjoying the Memorial holiday, Mr. Duct Cleaner wants to pay our respects to those who have fought and died for our country. Mr. Duct Cleaner would like to thank all our military and armed forces for their sacrifices. We are grateful you chose to put yourself in harm’s way and keep us safe. While we will be spending the Memorial Weekend holiday with our friends and families – enjoying the beginning of summer – we will also be remembering those who gave their lives for our freedom.

“I am oppressed with a sense of the impropriety of uttering words on this occasion,” then-Congressman James Garfield said in an 1868 Decoration Day address at Arlington, which still captures the true meaning of Memorial Day today. “If silence is ever golden, it must be here beside the graves of fifteen thousand men, whose lives were more significant than speech, and whose death was a poem, the music of which can never be sung.”

“This is the day we pay homage to all those who didn’t come home. This is not Veterans Day, it’s not a celebration, it is a day of solemn contemplation over the cost of freedom.” —Tamra Bolton

“True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.” —Arthur Ashe

If you are a veteran, thank you for your service. If you have lost a loved one in a military conflict or training to fight for America, we are sorry for your loss. We solemnly honor all men and women who have died in U.S. military service.

To all, have a good and safe Memorial Day!
