Mr. Duct Cleaner has a relatively quick, inexpensive solution to your home’s rising utility bill. Have the professionally trained technicians at Mr. Duct Cleaner Clean Seal your home.
This Areoseal patented process is non-invasive. It typically does not require major construction repair. Our team starts by cleaning your HVAC and duct system. Then we attach the Aeroseal equipment to your duct system and get a baseline of how much leakage exists. We block off your supply and return vents and protect your HVAC unit, then we fog to make sure to catch any of the bigger than 5/8ths of an inch holes and we repair those. Next, we blow the specially formulated sealant product into your duct system. We are not coating the whole inside of your system. The sealing particulates find the holes, and accumulate on the hole, effectively sealing it. When there is no more “hole” the particles move to the next leakage point.
A computer monitors the process and directs the equipment. When the leakage registers below 5%, the system shuts off. By the time our crew finishes tearing down the equipment and unblocking all the registers, the liquid will have dried and the system is ready to be used.
This Clean Seal Duct Repair Pays for Itself
Most Clean Seal duct repairs pay for themselves, typically within one to two years depending upon the home condition and system.
Let’s break this down by the typical homeowner:
- According to the Department of Energy, 2/3 of power usage in your home comes from gas & electric= $400 per month
- Average air duct leakage= 25%
- The total amount you are paying that is being wasted = $100 per month
- Assume $1800 clean seal for one system (this will vary depending upon system and location)
- 18 months total savings pays off the Clean Seal
NOTE: the IRA tax credit of $600 will change the savings payoff to one year!
When the Aeroseal Pro Seal experts at Mr. Duct Cleaner perform this one-time duct sealing process, the seal is guaranteed for 10 years (providing no major events or duct replacements). It is highly recommended that Mr. Duct Cleaner return to clean the HVAC duct system every few years to help maintain and preserve better indoor air quality. Unfortunately, we cannot prevent all dirt build-up.
